New Work.....

I now remember what happened the last time I did the whole 'blog' thing......I got busy and lost track of keeping it updated. It's been over 3 months since I last blogged. I have yet to figure out how people do it. Create, market and blog, facebook and myspace everything. There just aren't enough hours in the day.
that being said, I have been busy with several projects...

I have finished 'Sailor Snow'. He is aproximately 10 1/2 inches tall. He has blue eyes, a black button mouth and an orange carrot nose. His outfit is blue and white snowflakes with wooded buttons and lace trim all topped off with a sailor hat. I hope to have him and a few others posted to ETSY soon. I will post that information as soon as I can. Ain't he cute?

I have also done some painting. I was struck with the urge to paint this past weekend and created a trilogy. The Beatles song, 'Lady Madonna' came on and it stuck in my head.....so here you have the 'Lady Madonna' trilogy.
They are 8 x 10 inch panaled canvas with newspaper, acrylic and glitter. They were SOLD before I could even get them posted. I finished them Sunday morning - what better day? Mother's day and a Lady Madonna theme, perfect together. Hope all you Mothers out there had a wonderful day with your kids!

I will post more photos of my finished Patchwork Angels and give a link as soon as I get everything to ETSY. Hopefully with a little luck it won't be another 3 months.  LOL!

New!!

Been working on a new doll.....had to take a break from the 'hands'. Anyway, he's coming along wonderfully. Don't you think?
He is white with pale blue (that icy mix that snowmen have) a big orange nose (carrot, of course) and a big button smile. He also has pale blue swirls around his head and face (not sure how clear they are in the photo)........I had a little hat, but I didn't like how it looked so I'm gonna try something different.

Will keep you posted....

SkulyLuv and DeeObLow now have hands. Hurray!!
I spent forever (4-5 hours) working on thier hands.
I think they turned out rather well...don't you?
I have two more sets to do and then clothes......

Georgia Snow!

It's snowing in Georgia!! It's now 9:30pm and the snow is still coming down. It's actually sticking to the roads and ground. I can't believe it actually happened! My cell won't take decent photos in the dark...so I'll have to post some pics tomorrow after the sun comes up......
I wonder if we're gonna have work...hhhmmmmmm.  :)
I can hear kids in the nieghborhood playing in the stuff. It's sticking together really well right now. But it's supposed to get down in the teens tonight so it will be crunchy tomorrow. Ice too, I'm sure.
I'm so excited! It's only snowed once since we moved here and that was 15 years ago.
Off to look out the windows some more.......

Have you made resoulutions? I didn't make any this year, never seem to keep them so I figured I wouldn't make them.  :)
I have been diligently working on my PA's.....
I have gotten some of the outfits cut out....just need sewing now. I have also been working on a larger doll - six inches instead of four.....
heres a couple of pics, what do you think?........
the beginnings......styrofoam and paperclay.

first coating of muslin and acrylic (just a little color!)

and a sneek peek at his 'diddley bops'!!
can't give it all away at once.  :)
I also have some in process.....can you guess???

That's all for now, I'll post more of the clothes when I get them finished. Til then....TTFN
