Ladies & Gentlemen...Drumroll Please!.....

FORREST IS COMPLETE!

Yippee, Yay! Hurray! (had to put it in bold....didn't think it was ever gonna happen. you too? wow, imagine that. LOL)
He's actually done! Photos and all. I feel...so...accomplished. :)
I'm only a week behind....not too terribly horrible. considering. So, I now have my Etsy shop open, Harley and Forrest listed. That feels good. Here's a shot of the two of them...

Forrest didn't get his liripipe. I did not like the way it looked. It made him look like 'granny'. But he had to have something to keep him warm. So we decided on a scarf made from 'eye lash' yarn. Orange, yellow, brown and black. Looks really good on him too. He's ready to make someone a life long friend! (Harley too!)

Today was kinda ruff....it is my daughter's 20th birthday. She was having a really hard time with it. But family and friends showed up and helped her through it. I'm really glad everyone came. Hopefully it sank in that she is surrounded by people that love her. Started out this morning with her dog (yes, she con-ed me into a dog) finding a tiny hole in the fence and taking off. We spent an hour (by 'we' i mean my wife, Connie, Amy, Barry and myself) looking for him. I didn't want to tell her. I finally found him about 8 houses down in someone's backyard. It worked out for the best and he's home again. I had to patch the hole in the fence. Hopefully he won't try to dig for another one......the hole was a quarter of his size. I have no idea how he squeezed through it. I made her a red velvet cake with double chocolate frosting. And sprinkles, of course! I made bar-b-q chicken and ribs, baked beans and corn on the cob. They were supposed to be grilled but my grill didn't want to cooperate. So I put them in the oven. Came out very tasty!

Next up......I have to finish my doublet. I have two weeks left to get it completed. I swear it was only yesterday that I had two months. Wow, that went by fast. Have to sew the side seams and try it on for adjustments. Hopefully it will be minor ones.
And then....on to the Wee Stuffies! Need to do some sculpting on them. I haven't decided how exactly I want to go about them yet. Plenty of ideas, just have to pick one. Or two. Wish me luck!

Back to Etsy......I really, really appreciate all the advice from everyone. I have been surprised at how many people have stopped to look at Harley. I would like to wish all a heart-felt Thank You!
A couple of really good friends have added me to their circles and 'favorite-ed' Harley. Thank You!!
Susie & Summer....please explain 'circles' to me. It looks like it's the equivalent of 'friends' on FaceBook. Is that correct? I see your circles and your 'circlers' circles....wow, I'm getting dizzy. LOL. All my artist friends are inspiring my to move forward....I have no idea how you keep up with it all. Creating art, Etsy, Ebay, Blogger, FaceBook. I still swear y'all have three hands. :)

I guess that's all for now. Wow, that's really weird....I have only one pic posted. Doesn't seem right. Maybe it's just me...? Til next time....

Be Good, Be Safe, Be Happy!

  1. Congrats on finishing Forrest and on your daughter's 20th birthday (don't they grow up fast?)

I'm with you on the Etsy thing. It's all new to me and I'm about to give my shop a re-model. You can add everyone you like to your circle (specially people who make similar stuff or sell supplies you might want). I just added you to mine!

However, 'favouriting' (I suppose that's a word, now) a shop is more important than joining a circle, at least from the shop's point of view. I've just favourited yours and I have to say, I love Forrest. Such wonderful feet!

  2. Thanks Beverley!
Yes, they grow up so fast. I still can't believe she's 20. Makes me feel old. :)
Thanks for adding me to your circle and to your favorites.
Still learning these things...I found myself using my FB password for my Etsy shop and my blog login for my email the other night.
    must be old age. :)
